No, we do not sell bait at Black Moose Outposts. However, we will help you with your bait orders. We work with local bait shops to ensure you have good quality bait for your fishing adventures. Please note that live bait is not allowed at our Northern Camps. Please inquire with our team for more information.
Yes, we frequently fly canoers and their canoes on our 185 or DHC Beaver, depending on the overall weight.
Pickup service is possible upon request. Please get in touch with our crew to arrange for your personal pickup service. Our Pilatus Porter PC-6 & Cessna Caravan are equipped with an amphib configuration and can generally service any airport in the region. Alternatively, we are happy to organize charter service to pick you up from your home destination.
No, you do not need to bring your own life jacket. We have new life preservers for all our guests. Please advise in advance if you will need youth sizes.
Yes. You have to be an accredited hunter in Ontario before we can submit an application to purchase a moose tag. You will need to provide documentation to our staff and pay a small fee to get accredited. This is a onetime requirement. Our office manager will take care of this for you.

Black Moose Outposts promotes ‘Catch and Live Release’. Therefore we will provide you with a free Conservation Fishing License if you choose to not take fish home to your place of residence. Safety of our guests and staff is our #1 Priority. If the weather conditions do not permit flying, you might have to extend your stay at our base or in our cabins until the conditions have changed. Weather conditions do not affect the overall trip price.

You will need a valid Ontario Outdoors Card and at least an 8-day conservation fishing license. When you book a trip with Black Moose Outposts, we include both documents in your stay and our staff will arrange them for you.
Our hunting prices vary between 4,000 – 10,000 USD per person. The price depends on package, location and whether the hunt is guided.

No need to worry about a minimum headcount when booking our cabins! Enjoy the flexibility of booking for any number of people. However, for groups with less than two people matching the cabin’s total capacity, additional charges may apply.
The minimum number of people required to book a hunt is 2-4 depending on location – please inquire with our team for detailed information.
All our cabins feature solar lights, hot and cold running water, fridge, propane cook stove with oven and a wood stove for those chilly early season nights. We also have generators, propane grills and fish cookers at each cabin for your convenience. Our cabins are also fully stocked with pots, pans, coffee maker, dishes, utensils and cleaning supplies.
